Overview
The Gamma is used to measure the natural radioactive strength in formation in engineering logging, which detects gamma photon, and changes to low-power photon by use of NaI. The photomultiplier tube detects the low-power photons and converts them into electrical signal, the logging curves can be used to detect and evaluate the radioactive deposit by circuit measurement, to verify the sandstone formation and estimate the shale content, to reflect the permeability of dirty formation. The gamma well temperature instrument can be connected to other logging tools for combination logging, which is used for formation comparison and depth calibration of all logging curves.
